Honestly I haven’t slept well for 12 years. it began when my friend had his first stroke and I became his caregiver. Then 2 years later he had another and kept waking up waiting for another phone call. Then 5 years ago my MIL moved in with dementia because she couldn’t be alone and didn’t want her in a “home”. Then 2020 my friend got worse and in October he broke his hip and then they had to amputate his “good” leg. He died in January 2021. Then after my calm 12 years my wife died suddenly and unexpectedly in March 2021 and now I am caring for MIL all alone and always “aware” in case something happens waiting for the other shoe to drop because why not. I can’t wait till I die so I can sleep in Heaven or maybe not, maybe going to the “hotspot”
