Eff you and the victim blaming you rode in on, Ramirez!!!
If you want to comment on the absurdity of anarchists wreaking havoc in American cities who can’t even articulate any reasons or goals they might have or specific outcomes they seek to bring about, fine. Make that commentary.
But don’t give us this racist BS of “Oh, if only they behaved differently, they wouldn’t have gotten shot…”
It’s sickening and embarrassing (at least from a perspective of those of us who still have or at least listen to our conscience)!
How about telling cops that every shooting or tasering will automatically mean a suspension WITHOUT PAY? They might actually think twice before pulling triggers.
Ramirez, you’re either an idiot or a racist. You cannot kill a black man because he does not follow instructions. He and his air freshener are not a threat and you don’t pepper spray an army office in uniform because he has more sense than to stop on a dark road when pulled over.
https://www.npr.org/2021/04/14/987228386/officer-who-shot-daunte-wright-arrested-to-be-charged-with-2nd-degree-manslaughtPotter shot Wright, a 20-year-old Black man, during a traffic stop Sunday while officers were attempting arrest after discovering an outstanding warrant. In body camera footage, Wright can be seen pulling his hands free and ducking back into the car; Potter yells, “I’ll tase you! Taser! Taser! Taser!” then fires her handgun. Wright died on the scene.
…or you could go to the capital and trash it..kill a cop…defecate in the rotunda….break into senator’s and congress’s office…steal and loot and drape tRump flags..and then know the fearful leader and his goons (…like you) will blame it on everyone other than those who committed those crimes and tried to steal an election ….mikie…keep practicing spouting your lies….and sing your favorite phrase… ‘seig hiel’… and don’t forget to make sure people of color can’t vote….that will make your fearful leader really happy…..
Here in Minneapolis, those actually close to the situation know the protesters are not looting. There are angry people destroying things for a variety of motives, certainly, but the looting has been very surgical and it’s being perpetrated by a small group. It was reported on the news that the same few vehicles have been seen repeatedly at sites where looting occurred, both this week and last summer, and I know someone who runs a pharmacy in south Minneapolis and they said it’s common knowledge to the business owners around there that the looting is being done by organized crime. They’re not grabbing the things some dumb kid will grab because it’s cool. They’re grabbing the things that fit into their larger network. Stuff like laundry detergent. Pharmacies get targeted also because to organized crime, they’re competition. These are people associated with the big drug bosses, and they are scary. They have nothing to do with the protests; they just see an opportunity. If the community burns, they don’t care. If there’s police brutality, they don’t care about that either; that helps them, in fact, by making people more reluctant to call 911.
Police officer will not face charges in fatal shooting at Capitol riot
A US Capitol Police officer has been cleared of any wrongdoing in the fatal shooting of Air Force veteran Ashli Babbitt during the 6 January riot.
Ms Babbitt was shot as she attempted to beach a barricaded doorway inside the Capitol as pro-Trump rioters stormed Congress. The incident was caught on camera.
Federal prosecutors in Washington, DC made the decision saying that there was insufficient evidence to prove that Ms Babbitt’s civil rights were violated.
It was determined that it was reasonable to believe that the unnamed officer acted out of self defence or in the line of duty, defending lawmakers and congressional staff as they fled the House chamber.
Prosecutors informed Congress and Ms Babbitt’s family on Wednesday of their decision.
I totally agree with this cartoon. What do rioting and looting accomplish? Will this bring about justice for anybody? The people who are hurt by this are shop owners whose livelihoods are destroyed by people who use protesting as an excuse to steal and destroy. Look at what came about as a result of MLK’s peaceful protests. People seem to have forgotten about that, apparently.
Isn’t it funny how the people who won’t follow instructions themselves, preach Freedom and who refuse to follow the most simple rule like wearing a mask, are the first ones to say that black kid deserved to die because he didn’t follow instructions?
Tens of thousands of people die due to mistakes made by bad doctors and even good doctors… But we do not riot, loot and scream that doctors should be defunded. For the most part we cannot avoid getting ill…. But Daunte Wright had choices…. He could have chosen to not choke a woman and threatened to shoot her if she did not hand over $820. Daunte Wright had a choice to appear in court on charges that he fled from officers and possessed a gun without a permit during a run-in with Minneapolis police in June but he did not. Daunte had a choice to obey instructions and not resist arrest….but he did not.
Had Daunte Wright had not robbed a woman at gunpoint and resisted arrest, would he would be alive today? Yup!Did Daunte deserved to die? Nope!
George Floyd held a gun to a pregnant woman’s belly while robbing her. Jacob Blake who was wounded after pulling a knife on a cop — a man who received ceremonial visits from Joe Biden and other Democratic dignitaries while in the hospital — broke into a woman’s house and raped her in her bedroom before stealing her debit card and vehicle. These are not men accused of Me Too style “harassment,” but of cruel and vicious abuse. Where is the outrage and sympathy for the victims of these thugs? Why are these men being canonized by the WOKE and the high priests of the church of BLM?
If we don’t want people to die like Daunte Wright, then we should tell them not to live like Daunte Wright.
Yeah, “follow instructions” — wasn’t it about a year ago that a black guy was plugged by a cop in a filling station and said, in anguish, “Why did you do that??” and the cop said, “I don’t know!” Points extra for honesty.
Police need more training and need to take their training more seriously. There should be a recurring classes on all interactions that ended with deadly consequences – whether to police, the suspect, or bystanders. And every officer should do their best to learn from them. Many states have discarded death sentences, even for the most heinous crimes. So police should not be handing out death sentences on their own. Police do need to protect the people and themselves, but too many incidents lately could have been handled better without killing the panicked, drunk or drugged, or totally innocent suspect.
I defer Ramirez to the Michigan state capital protest over masks where armed white militia protesters broke down doors and entered the capital and screamed in the faces of police officers for hours but never even got pepper sprayed. They damn sure didn’t follow instructions.
The looting is an understandable response, though it’s not a GOOD response. Of course, distinguishing “good” from “understandable” is way too nuanced for a right wingnut to understand. As for the “follow instructions” part, well, there’s a reason that the first two times I looked at the speaker, I took it to be Mickey Mouse. “Follow instructions” has very clearly not worked well, all too often when the person being confronted by the police happens to be black. Or brown. Or the cop’s having a bad day. To the point that even mentioning it seriously makes the artist look too dumb to believe.
Are these the “instructions” you’re talking about Ramirez?
https://www.gocomics.com/robrogers/2021/04/15
Let’s look at some examples – mental health therapist shot while trying to retrieve his patient; Army officer pepper sprayed when he said he was afraid to get out of the car (disgusting response “you should be”); peaceful BLM protesters being pepper sprayed and tear-gassed while the Trumper insurrections were allowed to run rampant.
I often see people saying, “Dr. King didn’t advocate violence.” That’s true. But he also dedicated himself to bringing about change. I was trained by the SCLC, I’ve been in many demonstrations, and I’ve been in jail several times. I was never violent, but I was beat up several times, including by the police. Let’s have the police be non-violent, and then there won’t be protests about police violence. You have to pay your dues if you want to argue for non-violence.

Odd, I only usually hear that line of logic from privileged white people who don’t have to worry if their children will come after a traffic stop.
