I always believed a fascist economy was based on corporations existing only with the permission of the state, and if they criticized the state, they could forget about it. Is that what Mitch is suggesting we move to?
Shame on corporations for reflecting the values of the majority of their workers and customers, instead of doing what the GQP wants – especially after the GQP thought it had paid them off with big permanent tax cuts… /s
These ‘woke’ corporations sell their goods to people of all colors and persuasions. Just like the politicians represent ALL people of all colors and persuasions. Welll….they’re supposed to, anyway.
MLB will still be there — and will still have a lot of customers — long after Mitch and company have passed into the maw of the great hereafter, where, if I were a believer in such things, I’m sure they will find that their lot is long, hot and painful. By preference with supervisors whose skin is brown…
“Serious Consequences”, such as equal voting rights for all citizens, not just a few.
“Serious Consequences”, such as politicians being held accountable to all the electorate, not just their base.
“Serious Consequences”, such as making “All men are created equal” a real thing, and not just a pretty phrase in a document they pretend to honor … but don’t!
Moscow Mitch is delusional if he thinks that Congress could possibly pass “serious consequences” for corporations who oppose objectively evil voter suppression laws. Of course, Moscow Mitch has taken millions of “light” and (very probably) millions more in “dark” money from corporations. Also from Russian oligarchs. Also from his wife’s family’s criminal enterprises.
“woke”, like “politically correct”, is simply having consideration for your fellow American. conservatives, like McConnell, try to demonize that. conservatives are the enemy of the U.S. and have been since 1774.

Individuals such as Corporations (see Citizens United…) can give political donations, but Mitch is telling them to shut up after the check clears…

They’re doing all this right in our faces, with utter contempt for us working people, knowing they can get away with it! Out-of-control hubris!

I am retired Navy and I find that offensive. Mitch is a coward who weaseled his way out of military service.

Anyone that donates to or supports Republicans has no right to complain. Mitch has now said it out loud.

“Woke”, like “political correctness”, is simply common consideration for our fellow American. conservatives try to demonize both.

It is Illegal for Moscow Mitch to wear a Uniform he did not Earn.
The Navy never wanted him.
Heck, the US Army dumped him after only 37 days.
