The only sounds I hear when I’m asleep at night are — aside from my CD player playing relaxing, instrumental music — are crickets and frogs.

I take off my hearing aids and hear nothing

They must live on the other side of the Forth’s neighbor…

I don’t have that problem because I’m a sound sleeper!! The only thing that would wake me up is a thermal nuclear explosion but it would have to be in my back yard!! Otherwise, I’d sleep through that — also!!

Actually, where I lived 25 years ago, one of the neighbors had a dog that would bark at night. (Not all the time, but often.) One of the other neighbors told us that he had it one night, and called up the owner and barked at him (this was after midnight). He said the next thing he heard was the owner yelling at the dog. Actually, he did more than that apparently. I had not much sympathy for the dog in that case. It was always chasing after our cars, besides the barking.

Still, one 4th of July, with fireworks going off in the area (it was rural), that dog was whimpering at our door (which was well uphill from her home), frightened to death. So we let her in.

That moment when Georgia realized her husband was insane.

I take my hearing aids out and all I hear are the birds chewing their gum in the trees.

Some with PTSD might consider that a mild reaction.

I was just outside at 2:30am and all I could hear were the frogs from the pond down below.

I lived in a neighborhood with a barking dog at night. I would laff and go to sleep hoping it kept its owners awake. That kind of noise doesn’t bother me. But I have a refrigerator that clicks on occasion and drives me crazy. I play a rainstorm to drown it out.

… **** spoilers to follow**** ….. I’m sorry, but Georgia looks too much like April at age 18..

So, tell me. What will work? I’m truly curious.

His nieces and nephew are restful by comparison.

This is one of the rare times that the focus of the strip left the Patterson family. This is because Phil and Georgia had become such an important addition to the family that I had to tell more of their story.

I’m sure the dog didn’t answer the phone, so it looks like the owner is getting a piece of Phil’s mind.

Call the Enjos and tell them a dog is there for them to take. They would call that a meal, oops they mean a deal!

Having and out of control dog shows, lack of training and socialization and is disrespectful to your neighbors

It just confuses them at first, then they take it as a challenge, and beat you with experience.

In my neighborhood when one dog starts barking at night, all the others join in. It usually means that somebody is there that doesn’t belong. The dogs will continue barking until the perceived threat leaves the area.

There is a little dog right next door that barks all the time, morning noon and night. Especially if I go put something in my garbage cans which are right next to the fence. The owner of the dog does nothing.

I’m sick of people and their stupid dogs.

If a dog barks all night it’s because his owner is deficient and uncaring. We had this problem in our neighborhood, so the police were called as it was a nuisance. Officer knocked on their door and had a conversation with the owner. Don’t know exactly what he said, but the problem stopped. Good for us and good for the dog.

Something I’ve been wondering about: Does Georgia have dual cheek piercings? Looks like it to me.

Who has a dog that like to play on neighbors phones at night?

You wanna switch your bedroom to a place where people set off rocket ships at night,Phil? I heard that is soothing then argue with a dumb neighbor dog.

Barking back works when confronting the dog, not over the phone.
