A friend got her first jab Thursday. Her slot was early in the day. She said there was no line, no waiting. A few days earlier, but later in the day, we encountered something closer to the right image above: About 140 people in line (I counted to 20 and estimated the length in “20 people units” at 7)… which took about an hour and a half, including 15 minutes sitting after the jab.
It is really nice to see a transition from an administration dedicated to doing evil to an administration dedicated to doing good. Thanks Joe & Kamala!
BTW, the left panel reminds us about who the insurrectionists were hunting. This is the latest from Mother’s Boy:
Former VP Mike Pence said in an op-ed published in The Daily Signal that the 2020 presidential election was “marked by significant irregularities and numerous instances of officials setting aside election law.” Pence criticized Democrats for their voter reform push and indirectly supported former President Donald Trump’s baseless claims that the 2020 presidential election was stolen. Without outright calling the 2020 vote fraudulent, Pence — who was a target of the pro-Trump mob that stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6 seeking to overturn President Biden’s victory — argued against the For the People Act, which includes measures such as required early voting and same-day voter registration. Pence called the bill “an unconstitutional power grab.” [The Daily Signal]
In my memory, starting with Nixon, republican residents have all understood the fact that they can say whatever they want, and, usually, enough saps will fall for it. Pence gets it, too.
I’m not a democrat. I haven’t been a democrat since 1966. I had lots of doubts about Biden. I still have doubts, not so much about Biden as president, but doubts that the political class in the US can see what the problems really are, how serious they are, and what needs to be done to preserve something close to a decent civilization. But with all that said, I think Biden is doing a pretty good job. I certainly don’t agree with everything he has done, and I don’t expect to agree with everything he does in the future, but I think he is sincere and he has been as successful as he could be in the circumstances. It’s up to all of use to create a political climate that will allow the radical changes that we really need.
I keep hearing that the one thing standing in the way of getting anything serious done in DC is the Senate filibuster. Well, let’s call their bluff. Make them filibuster! 100% attendance required, or there’s an immediate vote. Make them stand there and keep talking 24/7 till the pee runs down their trouser legs. Let’s see who can outlast whom.
Well, March 4 has come and gone, and the 2nd coming of the most recent savior didn’t materialize any more than the 2nd coming of the original savior. You’d think that after awhile (like, say, 2000 years) it would finally down on these suckers that they’re being hustled. But no.
Trump later threw his “Trump Patriots” under the bus, calling them “Antifa”… Biden humbly thanks citizens for participating in the efforts to end the pandemic…
Trump is, of course, to be commended for creating this wonderful life-saving vaccine, which of course I won’t take, because Bill Gates Mind Control. /s
The mob of traitors wasn’t merely “inspired” by Traitor Trump, the traitors were organized by members of Traitor Trump’s campaign and administration for quite literally MONTHS ahead of time, in order to attempt to over-throw our democracy.
There was a Trump appointee wearing a suit who was wielding a police shield during the insurrection! He also wore his MAGA hat, which he lost… all this was caught on various cameras. Why was he not called as a witness during the impeachment?

Very nicely contrasted.

Pence is so far down the intelligence ladder, that there’s nothing bad you can call him that’s not a compliment.

Whose quote was this "if Donald Trump tells us we should take it, I’m not taking it.”
