I wonder what hateful thing Petey imagined (perhaps all the foods about which he’s picky).

He imagined the meat and the dessert on his plate touching.

The second and third panels have a very Crumb feeling to them.

The impetus for hate is strong in Peter. What else is under the skin of that milk toast boy?

His face in that skinny second panel… pure rage. I’m afraid of him now, ha

Now he has to go lie down for awhile…

OK – now let Alice have a few whacks with the ball. With her “dislikes” it could take all day!

How can you say that, Alice? Think of all the shoebox dioramas!

Whoa! Petey, that’s some hateful face. Still waters run deep, eh?

We got hockey sticks and pucks for Christmas every year. Hockey season lasted until the pucks were lost and the sticks broken. December 26. I feel your strength Petey!
