just acting curious, but don’t all sports balls (American football, rugby, basketball, volleyball… any inflatable ball) contain those three things on which Petey has a hypothesis?

Used air? What, does he expect the soccer ball factory to fill them up with brand new air?

    Final score from yesterday:

    Olympic Soccer Qualifying

    Honduras – 2

    United States – 1

With this result, for the third straight Olympics, and four out of the last five (and the last World Cup), the U.S. Men’s soccer team has not qualified and will get to watch on television. We have by far, the best women’s team in the world. The men, just sad.

Ahh, the customary activities that normally take place prior to an athletic event.

I think that Petey’s having an out-of-body experience just outside of panel 4. If I recall correctly, only his OBEs talk about him in the third person like this.

That is actually a pretty good diagram of a golf ball, but instead of used air, the center is filled with liquid rubber that is forced out under the high pressure of Loris’ rubber bands into the eyes of the person who cuts through the ball with a hacksaw. Please do not ask how I know.

Depends – are they from her hair, her wrist, or (shudder) her braces?

    Petey is wise:

SWOOSH! Loris flashes through, saying “I heard that!”

Andre is left lying on the ground, dazed, bereft of shoes and socks (like Charlie Brown on the pitcher’s mound)….
