    1. Ah, the poor folks of Bozoville. They just wants to stay warm. And I never knews of the tradition of burning dried up Christmas trees. Oddly, the umbrella guy appears to be missing.

    2. Ah, the good ol’ traditional new year in April when the winter ends and spring begins!

    3. It’s 1947 and Bozo does a fresh start again by ending the earlier truce and getting into trouble with the cops again.

Upon the launching of “Bozo” by its syndicate in December 1945, it was reported by the Richmond Times Dispatch that the comic strip had an initial “audience of 2,300,000 newspaper readers.”

Well, as of this posting and after its launching on GoComics, six weeks ago, “Bozo” has an audience of 314 followers.

Discouraging? No, not at all. Because among those followers are some of the most enthusiastic and loyal followers a comic strip could hope for.

I like the pedestal ashtray by the armchair in row three! I haven’t seen one in real life in a lot of years, sadly. They used to be ubiquitous with every home decor.

By the way, that’s Foxo Reardon at the drawing board, with Bozo strips posted in the background.
