That sign should read “electric liability council of Tex-ass.” But the brilliant guvona Abbot immediately put his finger on who and what’s to blame: The liberal wind turbines.

I’ll bet it’s warm in Mexico. Just email Ted Crud and ask him. He’s gone on vacation.

Texas utilities largely succeeded in seceding from the United States some decades ago. Celebrated by Republicans* ever since.

    Until now.

Now, it seems they’d really, really, really like some help from the socialist communist fascist federal government.

    Because rugged individualism.

I just wish AOC would leave Texas alone and take care of Queens. Pushy broad.

Hey, it’s hard to provide funds for building and maintaining infrastructure while giving perks such as tax breaks to loyal supporters. If those pesky Democrats don’t stop being pesky, we will never realize the Texas dream of semi-independence from the Union. Who knew that gas-powered generators were really being run by wind turbines. This “fact” must have been lost to the rest of us after blowing through the Crime Family’s cranial abyss.

Apparently, leaders in Texas don’t consider reliability to be important…

Abbot is failing spectacularly. That’s what his supporters love. Even if it kills them, which it is.

Wow, this would be a great chance for Mexico to invade, while all the texans are cold and hungry.

How many weeks will it take to fix the electricity in Texas for those who don’t have it? If the republican criminals had winterized the equipment like they were told to 10 years ago, this would never have happened.

    Lying Republican is an oxymoron.

People in Texas are finding the grocery shelves bare, but they have plenty of bagged ice for mixed drinks. . . .

Electric utility firms in Texas are just following ‘GOP Agenda’ – Profits before people!

If course it’s reliable. Those at the top can reliably skim their grift no matter what is happening.

Perhaps with a bit more listening and constructive compromise which would permit the systems to advance in more ways beyond the standards of over a half century ago the power outages could have been avoided.

This video is downright INSPIRING. It is by a Conservative who strongly supports the Constitution. He is a power figure in Arkansas and as such, as well as from being a war hero, he also has national standing. His statement takes nine minutes but is very worth hearing since he gets to the most essential points and he describes a way forward which can certainly happen elsewhere, including here.

Hey, depending on the issue I vary (liberal for social issues that increase fair opportunities like civil rights, strong education, retraining for jobs, equal work advancement; old style conservative pre-debt-approach for most fiscal issues except that I strong think that infrastructure repair and replacement programs as a modern New Deal approach could help the nation greatly now and should be done; moderate in most else). Oh, and i am an independent who votes according to things like past voting records of candidates. I do not line vote and consider it lazy.
