    40 some years ago when I started collecting comic books, I came up with my own characters with unique powers

    Over the intervening decades every one off those ideas has been stolen by someone who actually did something with them

    MAD Magazine invented an umbrella with a locking loop in the handle. Saturday Night parodied a disposable shaver with 3 blades instead of just two. Both these products were eventually marketed to the public. For real.

    My brain invented a device on a TV that let you watch your favorite show whenever you wanted to, 20 years before it was sold in stores.
