Cancel culture: trying to overturn an election you lost by MORE THAN SEVEN MILLION VOTES, an outright majority (not mere plurality) and an Electoral College landslide.

Imagine that. Corporations alleging defamation by media outlets and their spokespersons seeking redress for damages in courts of law. What’s the world coming to? Why, maybe the Senate will actually convict former president Trump of high crimes based on abundant evidence…nah.

He can always get a job on OANN or Newsmax. After all, he found his way to Fox after being fired from CNN for being racist, homophobic and xenophobic, just the thing Fox was looking for at the time to be part of their 4F club (Felons, Fakes, Frauds, and Failures).

I liked Gretchen Koch’s idea of substituting “consequence” for “cancel” in that phrase…

I believe that the domestic terrorists who invaded the capital would tell you that they haven’t failed until they stop trying, and I’m pretty sure they haven’t stopped trying. We will be dealing with them for decades. Suing the media outlets that propagate the lies that fuel their hatred is the most effective way of dealing with them. They have the right to freedom of speech. That can not be taken from them and still call this America. But, if enough of the people they malign sue every time it happens, which would be at least a couple of times a week, and make a media circus of the trial that proves them to be liars, the 1%ers backing them will decide it’s not a productive way to spend their money. This will not help the ones who have been fed 50 years of propaganda radio. As long as they live, it will be in their alternate reality, but it would help prevent the creation of newer ones.

Conservatives think that bosses have sole power without consequences of who is hired or fired… unless bosses make a decision that goes against one of their comrades…

Republicans HAVE to lie, or they will cease to exist. When people are given a choice of two statements on issues that actually affect their everyday life, one that describes the Republican position and the other the Democrat’s, the Democratic position is chosen by about 80% of Democrats and Independents. No surprise there. The weird part is that just under half of Republicans also choose Democrat positions, unless they are told which position is supported by each party. Then they fall into line and choose the Republican option- 78% of the time. So, it is entirely reasonable for Republicans to lie a lot. The people running the Republican party are in that half of the Republicans who actually believe in Republican positions. They are roughly 25% of the voting public. They have no chance of ever winning a national election unless they keep as many people as possible from voting and keep the rest of them confused enough to vote against their own best interests.

Now Lou won’t have to keep dyeing his hair. He can just sit on his couch and yell at the TV, even when it’s off.

Maybe Chris Wallace, the token journalist at the Fox Propaganda Channel, could do some in-depth reporting on his soon (we hope!) to be MANY ex-colleagues at Fox……..

It’s all fun and games until the lawyers show up; then the suits sit up and pay attention. Faux is neither a particularly a right wing organization nor a liberal one. It’s a profitable business. One that has found a lucrative market that’s easily exploited. But the bottom line is king, and the bottom line says to throw a victim to the lawyers with what seems to be a good case. So they did.
