    Lately, the model had been for a few of the girls and their mothers to sit at a table at the entrance to a grocery store, so at least the scouts were somewhat involved. This past year has been different, though. No idea how they sold them. Maybe online? Nobody approached me.

    Wouldn’t mind having a thin mint or two right now, though.

    I’m sure it’s all very wholesome but I have my doubts when I see young girls encouraged to use their charms to sell overvalued baked goods to strangers outside of public places. I prefer to make a simple donation. Also, not fond of the parent cookie-pushers in the workplace. Let’s face it. I’m on a cookie-free diet. :)

    We would buy a box and tell them “send it to the troops” as they advertised they would do.

    I just realized, too late, that their own groups are called troops. Damn, damn, damn! :)
