I like seeing Janis with that satisfied smile.

It certainly appears to be a Morning After The Night Before. The first three panels are classic post whoopie morning mood. Arlo is up early and brewing coffee as typical.

I suppose Arlo’s retort in panel 4 is meant to relate back to their Christmas Eve ritual of opening one present. I just don’t think it translates well to Valentines Day.

But we always enjoy sharing Janis’ morning moods. 8^ )

Well, for sure, she’s still coasting. May take a while for that chocolate to wear off.

Valentine’s day is whatever day you want it to be, or it can be everyday.

I need sunglasses to see through her glow this morning! :-D

That was my family’s custom on Christmas Eve, one present they picked out for us to open, after we didn’t believe in the big jolly guy!

Valentines Eve, or as we celebrate it in our household, our anniversary :D

Unfortunately, Janis left nothing to open on Valentine’s Day. Looks like Arlo’s plan had a flaw.

Nice to see Janis being satisfied. A rare thing.

I imagine Arlo only needed to unwrap one gift…

So glad this year he could not insist we go out for dinner or try to buy me something – a great Valentine’s Day for a change – just stay home and ignore the holiday – I love doing that.
