Actually, it’s a new dawn in Georgia. All the efforts by the GOP to keep it in the dark through disenfranchisement, intimidation, and discouragement failed to keep Georgia in the dark this time.
Wait…was it the night the lights went out in Georgia, or was it the night that the biggest mistake America ever made incited a violent coup attempt on capitol hill?
Yeah. Well, everybody ELSE’S lights came on at the same moment. Makes me VERY happy to contemplate “Murder” Mitch McConnell with considerably less power. Ahhhh.
You mean the night the light was allowed to shine in Georgia. Georgia is a rapidly growing and increasingly progressive state. More purple than blue, but folks there have been making positive changes for a long time.
It may have worked out differently this time anyway, if the Republican candidates weren’t caught out making some cash through insider trading, and the Psycho-In-Chief urging the people not to vote in a pre-rigged election.
Looks like Mitch McConnell won’t know what do do with himself. No one to bully, no one to harangue, no one to shut down with his all mighty power as Senate Majority Leeder. Mitch already is acting demure.
a day after an attempted coup, you choose to do a cartoon that is basically “the loser of an election is sad”
just because there’s a reference to the title of a Reba McEntire song doesn’t make this clever, and this is the 2nd time a cartoon about Georgia was just a reference to a song title:
The right wing fascist mob storms the Capitol in open insurrection against a duly elected government, and this clown draws a cartoon about the Georgia Senate race?
Most of America is south of Montana, and people who live in those southern areas are much less subject to losing vital parts (fingers, elbows, kidneys, brains, etc) to frostbite.
First order of business, federal election reform. Make voting by mail or drop-off easy, convenient and secure. Eliminate disenfranchisement. Republicans, in their current iteration, will change or go extinct.
Ossoff and Warnock now need to concentrate on holding these Senate seats for re-election. That means not being liberal in a state like Georgia, but being in the center. Doug Jones lost his seat in Alabama by not speaking out against the progressives in his party. If the Democrats can hold 5-7 seats in the South, they will maintain control of the Senate.
Bob Gorrell is too dumb to realize that these Republican losses are actually the only thing that might save conservatism in America.
If they finally wake up to the idea that Americans don’t like a party without a platform, or a party that tries to foist un-reality onto them instead of acknowledging reality, they can go back to the drawing board and become an actual conservative party again!
Not that that would be great, but it’s better than what you have now.
This is a telling cartoon from Mr. Gorrell. Mr. Gorrell appears to be nostalgic for the “good ‘ol days in Georgia. When men were men, women were fair ladies and slaves were all black.
And if you think this is more important commentary than condemning your lord and savior’s crimes this week, you are no better than the scum he represents and incites.

What went wrong Bob? The republicans did everything they can to suppress the votes, and it worked for years!

Gorrell gets it wrong again. The lights came on. The dirty tricks, lies, and have made the people rise up and vote for change.

Don’t trust your soul to some backwoods southern lawyer… Vicki Lawrence took a gamble on a song in 1973 that even Sonny and Cher wouldn’t touch.

The trump team went all out with a diversion didn’t they? Don’t be wanting the media to have any time to gloat over losing the Senate.
