I get calls from my electricity provider to save 10% and now 30% because I pay my bills. I called the electric company and strangely they know nothing about such a thing.
I once made one of those scammers waste three hours getting nothing. He told me to buy Apple gift cards and then return home and read off the numbers. I asked him to hold the line while I did that. He held. I went to the grocery and did my shopping but “forgot” to get the cards. I went “again” and told him that the store was ou. He told me to buy them on line. I faked that as well and finally found a few old cards that had no money left on them and incremented each number on them and read them off to him. He was very upset because the were all not valid. I started laughing over the phone and he asked what was so funny. I told him that he had just wasted three hours to get nothing. 10 minutes later his boss called me. He hung up after about two minutes when I told him that he had reached an FBI field office and the trace was complete and we would be visiting him later that night. I then blocked that number and have not been bothered since. The IRS sends letters and is too busy to make telephone calls. And if they do call, you are in big trouble. Bigly.

I was getting ready to make a purchase online and a popup ad said to use “supersaver15” as a code to save 15%. I wondered what would happen if I entered “supersaver20” and sure enough the discount went to 20%. Being a logical (and cheap) person I tried other combinations and found that it topped out at 30%.

I paid my back taxes, but i’m confused. Why isn’t my front or sides taxed? Only taxing one part of the body seems unfair.
