Took a while for today’s comics to come on

Leechburg is just 3 miles down the road from me. I wonder if I ever bumped into Bernard at the coffee shop in Leechburg where my avatar picture was taken?

We have a woodburner. Not just Aroma but also heat :-)

That’s a very nicely furnished bear cave he got for hibearnation.

I not only remember the ‘aroma’ from the fireplace but every year Dad would purchase a bushel basket of what he called ‘Candle Coal’. It would burn with multi-colored flames and sharp cracks along with the aroma ! ! ! Great memories ! ! ! !

Absolutely, and with the right beverage, the right cigar, the right company (can even be nobody!)… yes.

Our “new” house has a glass-enclosed gas fireplace. We didn’t we’d be using it much, but two of our dogs love the Warm Spot. And it augments the heatpump on cold days.

Ah, the relaxing smell of pine and burning wood. This is topped off by the aroma of toasted marshmallows and chocolate bar melted between to pieces of graham cracker

…if ONLY!

If.. there is any “aroma”.. better check the damper or the flu for critters or nests

I think its Denmark has a live TV show during the holidays of a fireplace. They allow a comment section and it is apparently lively about when the fire should be adjusted, the placement of logs and such. I don’t care who you are for or against, but given what we have just gone through, I could use several hours of that.

Can Winter be far behind !!!

One of the main things we are looking forward to in building our own house is a fireplace!

My next house will have a fireplace. It’s first on my list for the realtor.

a wood burning stove is also good therapy on a cold morning like this – you can watch the snow coming down and not even care…

Only if you live in cooler climes, unless you have it on youtube or its equivalent.

Looks like it’s time to get “fired up” and smell the timber ! And, cut the “inflaming” TV !

Had a pellet stove. Small but pretty fire. (No aroma, though). Had to practically pry the dachsies off the bricks around the stove – they loved it!
