It’s the famous “What up, bro?” scene from the Vatican.

Oh please. You actually have to move more closer to do the elbow bump than to touch the finger at a full arm’s length.

Trump’s plague isn’t going to magically disappear when Biden takes office. It is out of control and we can only wear our masks, stay away from other people and hope for a cure. The way to make a plague disappear is to never let it get out of control in the first place. In 2018, the White House’s National Security Council Directorate for Global Health Security and Biodefense mission was the same as when the Obama administration established it after the Ebola epidemic of 2014: to do everything possible within the vast powers and resources of the U.S. government to prepare for the next disease outbreak and prevent it from becoming an epidemic or pandemic. They set up clinics to do this job in 15 places that were considered “hot spots”- one of them was in the Chinese province where Trump’s plague began. In 2018, Trump’s administration defunded the office, shutting down the clinics. In a health security crisis, speed is essential. The job of a White House pandemics office would have been to get ahead: to accelerate the response, empower experts, anticipate failures, and act quickly and transparently to solve problems. It’s impossible to assess the full impact of the 2018 decision to defund the White House office responsible for this work, but it is quite likely that it would have stopped the pandemic while it was still in China. That makes Trump responsible for deaths not just in America, but world wide. So, don’t vote Blue to control this pandemic. Vote Blue because the next one is coming, and Republicans have given us ample proof that they aren’t good at that sort of thing.

Given this VIRUS is one of Gods creatures I doubt he would have soiled his own nest with it.

This was printed in a local newspaper: “If corona threatens your life, commandment Ten could save you from strife. Don’t go out anymore, or see the lady next door, thou shalt not COVID thy neighbor’s wife.”
