Armstrong could be the proud son born from the union between Ronald Reagan and Milton Friedman .

Reluctantly, I have to agree with Armstrong on this one. I used to sell advertising and had a client that continually kept pricing his coffee too low. It was the identical brand and roast as the coffee shop at the other end of the parking lot, yet people still went there and paid double his price. I tried to explain it to him, but, in my position as advertiser, I had to be careful not to be seen as coaching him on price.

That tactic works on a lot of fools who don’t know how to spot inferior products.

But high quality does cost more since the prices are driven by the extra cost for better materials and workers who are more motivated to maintain Quality Control.

In the long run spending even twice as much for a product that lasts for decades is better than taking the buy cheap and buy often approach of the short sighted.

The quality has to be there before the pricetag goes on.

I will pay a higher price ONCE for an item I expect to be better. However if it’s not better, I have no problem buying elsewhere.
