    Toles’s dialog (and commentary) is in top form today!

    Of course Barr kissed him (and we all know where). But he was already slimy enough to be comfortable in the swamp.

    Unrequited Loyalty – {3 beats/line}

    Reciprocal loyalty’s not owed;

    it’s not in The Donald’s code:

    “YOU be my sycophant toadie

    and serve like a rockstar’s roadie, -

    - but I’ll flush you down the commode.”

    … Coda:

    Trump is so bigly benighted

    that your loyalty goes un-requited.

    The ☠resident’s alt-reality [fairy-tale] of everyone else causing his mismanagement of almost every endeavor he’s had a hand in is especially harsh as it is robbing equal justice, rights/freedoms, and the standard of living of our children and their children, furthering the neglect of the working class and protecting the growing wealth inequity. This is an ugly evil terrifying fairy tale that portends division and strife ever after for We The People if allowed to continue.

    ”Ode to the Toad” — (—

    This cartoon is unfair to toads! They are not the offenders in nature, in the wild or in human affairs. A “toady” is a conjuror’s assistant who would pretend to eat toads (commonly assumed to be very poisonous) in order to demonstrate his master’s power of healing. From that circumstance, it came to mean someone who would do the dirty work of his boss; a sycophant, a yes-man. Donald Trump is certainly The Toad Master in that regard.

    But most toads are beneficial because they eat insects that cause harm to wild and cultivated plants. (Some toad species in Southern states are more poisonous to pets; and large uncontrolled populations of Cane Toad cause problems in Australia.)

    The inoffensive America Toad, however, is widespread in the U. S. My Midwest area has many of them; amazingly, even in housing subdivisions with access to standing water and retention ponds. I have them hopping harmlessly, big and small, around my house; and I purposely provide shelter for them. Some people consider them good luck.

    Pets learn to shun toads, as the critters secrete liquid irritating to the mouth, as a defense mechanism when handled or chewed. Some children are grossed out by this “pee.” The bumpy, “warty” texture of a toad’s skin is considered ugly by some. But I have always been thrilled by the toads, frogs, snakes, and insects that live among us. As a child, I looked at the ground and on the leaves of plants for our world’s smaller inhabitants, and learned the names and habits of them.

    Poor toads! Their nocturnal lifestyle brings them onto sidewalks and driveway to seek the warmth of residual heat from the sun. I have accidentally run over toads in dark; and even stepped on them on the sidewalk. That popping “squish” is sickening to hear and feel.

    So please exclude toads as metaphor for crass human affairs. They are Earth’s elder creatures, diminishing in numbers due to human inconsideration. (— (—

    Totally corrupt Trump has filled the swamp with all kinds of slimy money grabbing greedy creatures.

    Trump has corrupted the FBI and CIA and put his totally unqualified lackeys in charge.

    Trump has done more to destroy the government of the USA than any American.

    Reelect covid spreading Trump and he will fill even more seats and the govt will be a total reflection of corrupt insane racist liar Trump.

    Right now the Reich Wingers are saying that if the Leftists lose. (Ignoring Republicans who left their party and moderates.) That we will have a second Civil War. Strangely I see the same thing happening if Trump loses as he should.
