By many measures 2020 is not a good year for a lot of people. History happens, pandemics, happen and bad political leadership happens.
We cannot control a lot of this. Thanks to all who have voted: you have done your part to shape future history. Thanks to all who are wearing masks, washing their hands and maintaining social distancing. You are doing your part to control the pandemic.
2020 is a bad year. However if you think you are having it it bad, consider what it must have been like in a Nazi concentration camp. A good day in the camps is far worse than your worst day in 2020.
The following is the reflection of an inmate who survived the camps. “Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms – to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.” – Viktor Frankl – “Man’s Search for Meaning.”
I highly recommend reading the book. It is easy to read and It will put life into perspective. Frankl outlived his persecutors by more than 40 years. He died in 1998.
This is not about Trump and you know that. It is about the whole mess this year has been. Remember that half the country likes him enough to vote for him, much to your chagrin. Half the country does not want the country to degenerate into socialism that is proven over and over again to not work.
Due to the pandemic many Americans will not be having their traditional orgy of gluttony this year. That’s probably a good thing. It certainly would be beneficial to Trump. However, I don’t see him pushing himself away from the table any more than I see him graciously conceding and getting out of town.

I don’t see how we will be able to enjoy Thanksgiving if Trump has not conceded or at least started the transition process by then.

You do have the power to choose your attitude.

Lest we forget. Prayers for all those who served or are serving in the US military. Their sacrifices allow us to thrive in peace.
