A Thanksgiving dinner leaves huge piles of scraps, and the pirates seem perfectly willing to share with the mice. So I’m not sure why this subterfuge is necessary.
So he refers to Jonas and his friend as “guys” even though the friend is clearly female. I’ve always used “guys” this way, as a kind of synonym for “folks” or “characters” or “people”, but some people get bent out of shape when females are called “guys”. Any good arguments pro or con such usage?
