I saw an article today from BBC that explored what people from other representative democracies think of the long lines in the USA. They were uniformly appalled.

PS: If you want to see long voting lines, look in “red” states.

Doesn’t Dad need any prep for the voting lines himself? He IS going to vote, isn’t he?

Why stand in line? Early voting will be there tomorrow, and the next day. Come back then.

I’ve already voted and checked. My ballot has been received. Now I just hope they don’t toss it into the river like Trump said he saw somebody do.

Hope it works. Are people ‘camping out’ to get in early, like they do with college sports?

Every election one sees the same lines.. Offhand, I would be tempted to vote for the party that said,, “Never again will you need to stand in such a line”.. Give us a mandate and we will fix it once and for all. And.. remind them of the party in power that is willfully causing those long lines.

Good for her! We should all do the same. Though I just dropped off my mail in ballot. Love voting in Colorado!

I voted in person today at an authorized early voting center in my state. I waited in line for an hour and forty-five minutes, in which people did maintain their distance and were uniformly masked. I must express my appreciation to the poll workers who saw me in line with my cane and offered to escort me to the head of the line. While grateful for the offer, I deferred so those with real disabilities could be so served. Yes, I am elderly, but I need my cane for stability more than support. A young lady behind me indicated that this was her first presidential election, and she said that somehow my presence and deferment of preferential treatment made her realize just how important the voting franchise really is. That made my day.

Got my ballot in the mail this week, completed it, and dropped it off at the County Elections office. Way it should be…

One would think a nation with over 300 million Americans and over 130 million registered voters would have a far better system for voting that doesn’t resemble a third world election. Voting apathy has been such a problem that now we actually face high voter turnout, our system has the potential to collapse.

Around here, yes the lines are longer but it is mostly because it is spaced out from people social distancing. It did not take me any longer to vote today than it ever has in the past.

The moderator is a terrible reporter. I was asked a lot of dumb questions. It was a witch hunt. NBC is fake news. They were out to get me. They didn’t ask me the right questions.

Wah, wah, wah – what a crybaby!

Please note I am typing this and his town hall isn’t even over.

I tried early voting today and wound up coming back home. No parking places, and the parking lot full of people driving like they’d never seen a car until today.

It is not as long as the line of Republican Senators lined up to kiss Trump’s ass.

Chuckle,, In Wisconsin all you have to do is go to the City Clerks Office, ask for an Absentee Ballot and Vote, Two Weeks before Election Day. Simple.
