The home I bought in NY (and lived in for 33 years), had been built in 1932. While I loved the charm and the “vibes” from days gone by, buying an old house can end up being a money pit. That said, I’m sure yours was renovated more than once since 1893 AND homes built then were built to last…much better than those built during Depression Era. However, in Florida, we opted to build brand new and with a guarantee of 5 years from the builder. Best of luck to you both and may you be very happy in your new home! (I’ve always loved Victorian Era architecture).
The side view of the ‘cute’ house shows that is not just a little house but an absolutely wonderful old home that has been loved by its previous owners. Homesplice should love exploring and racing around. I hope that Ginger moves in also and is adopted by the previous owners.I am not sure ‘previous owners’ is the right term. Perhaps guardians is more apropo.
I have a cousin who loves posting real estate listings that are…interesting. There was one in Missouri, remodeled nicely, that came with its own jail cells at the back of the house. Which were NOT remodeled out of there and were stark bars and concrete. Hard pass.
