This is lost on the newbies, and as for the oldies; the memory’s faded.

Gaiters have been classed as near worthless!

The Bazooka Joe comic takes me back a bit. Had to hide the fact you had bubble or chewing gum in those days. They were frowned upon here. Now we have to have solvents used where the mindless just spit their gum out.

I ONLY chewed Bazooka. And of course, had to be sneaky about chewing it in class. I loved to make bubbles with it. One day in class, I blew a bubble behind the teacher’s back. It was an ENORMOUS bubble! But when it blew, it exploded all over my glasses! The teacher turned around and…SNAG! Caught. Worse, was trying to get the gum off my much-needed spectacles!

I’m Mort-afied.

This is honestly funnier than any of the “jokes” included in the gum packets in decades

LOVED those little comics printed on waxed paper and wrapped arround the pink, sugary bubblegum…for a penny a piece! Yes, I’m that old.

Anybody else remember actual PENNY candy?
