Watching one of the news bits on Sturgis, I heard one of the riders say, “Hey we do social distancing when we ride — we gotta be 6 feet apart.” Cut to scene where a biker is backing his bike into a narrow space to park. Motorcycles cheek by jowl as it were. Yeah, guy, you’re spaced when riding, but that isn’t where you are going to get/spread Covid-19!
Trump knew in February, before the first US death, how deadly the CV-19 virus was. He also knew it could affect young people. It’s recorded on tape. He intentionally played it down. Two audio links in first source.
Bikers have always followed the rules so well in the past. What has Trump done to the Biker World now ? They are Trumps Shock Troops for the upcoming Boog, ya can’t kill ANTIFA if you’re in ICU. Straighten up and fly right.
What if the story about Sturgis coronavirus spreaders was not true? https://reason.com/2020/09/09/no-the-sturgis-motorcycle-rally-didnt-spawn-250000-coronavirus-cases/
An alt-right JA started posting a Facebook video saying “but there was only one confirmed death” and the Trumpettes spread it quickly before the news of the study of infections (and potential deaths) could spread. As the saying goes “a lie can get halfway around the world before the truth has put on shoes” – no matter who gets the credit for saying it.
It’s really too bad that 98% (or so) of the ones who are engaged in costing us $millions by spreading the virus are NOT going to die of it. I’m serious. If this virus were MORE dangerous, maybe people would take it seriously enough to get us through this better than we’re doing. Though there would still be idiots who are assh*les.
Where do we draw the line? I suppose the idea is to make someone taking an unreasonable risk should pay. Should a skier who is injured have to pay up? How about someone who fell off his bicycle? Someone who drowned in a local pool and had to be brought back? Someone lost on a walk in the woods? Someone who lights off firecrackers at a gender reveal party? Who decides what’s a reasonable risk?

Well, one thing one can say is that the pool of voters most likely to be reduced are probably mainly in the Trump camp.

Conservatives measure the cost in dollars.
Liberals measure the cost in lives.
