Be glad it’s second grade and not one of the higher grades. The higher the grade the worse the torture.

My heart goes out to all the grandparents who have taken over the responsibility of raising their children’s children for one reason or another. That’s a real act of love.

Why does the grandson have the same shirt as the teacher? Angling for a higher grade or the teacher’s pet?

There seems to be some unwritten rule about parents required to make sacrifices. And, she is a better person for doing it.

I’m lucky my kiddo is in middle school and is old enough to attend his Zoom calls on his own without my help. If this pandemic had happened when he was younger it would have been very difficult for me to balance my own work with having to help him during the day with his school work. I feel very bad for parents of small children right now.
