Biden led the Obama task force against H1N1 which scientists said was worse than COVID-19. He organized the scientists, CDC and all, and stepped aside letting them do their work. I’d think he’d do that again.
Of course, if you were honest you would have said IF, not when. And, of course nobody would reject VIABLE treatments and vaccines. (Well, the anti-vaxxers would reject the vaccine, of course.) Problem is, happy talk from drug companies is NOT the same as proven viable vaccines or cures. So, of course, we wait and do our best in the meantime to follow common sense: wearing masks, washing hands, social distancing, and so forth. I mean, it ain’t space force science, folks!
9/11. The terrified passengers on the planes. Ordinary office workers. The cleaning and maintenance crews. Military personnel at the Pentagon. People who jumped rather than face a fiery death. The first responders who were going up when everyone else was coming down. Picture them. Imagine their faces in their final moments. If you want to see their names, they’re engraved in black granite surrounding a city-block-sized hole in the ground in NYC.
Now, for every one of those 2,977 faces, imagine a line of 50 others stretching out behind it. Imagine one of those black memorials in every one of our 50 state capitals, with none of the names repeated. 150,000 corpses!
And counting.
The current president was warned IN JANUARY that this could happen. But, thru a combination of his arrogance, ignorance, alt-reality, incompetence, and sheer stupidity, America was — and remains — asleep at the switch.
