If it’s Florida, the gov’nor will go to any lengths for you to assert your “freedom” to infect and be infected. How potentially suicidal / homicidal is that?
There have always been slackers. And people who are there to get their MRS. But there have also always been people who are seriously pushing for knowledge… or at least a degree with which to pry open the Zoom account of the job interviewer.
Until we see the numbers significantly improve, it should be zero days a week, Yeah attending classes remotely sucks, but I imagine it’s a lot more fun than being on a ventilator in an ICU, or in a box in a hole.
College students are still kids. Not adults. (Not that many adults act like their pre-frontal lobe is completely developed.) Pre-frontal lobe doesn’t develop until around 25. Teenagers don’t feel mortal. Little amount of experiencing, thus understanding consequences.
Yah, young people are so dumb, especially the ones that go to college. If Danziger ever ends up in a hospital, he should tell all those young people caring for him how dumb they are and what slackers they were in college.
Our girls have the rest of the month to decide on online full time, online part time or taking a gap year. Their school is in England and even though we now live in Canada they hold USA passports and it might not be possible for them to enter in the first place.
One of my first dread realizations of the real world happened when I was in college, working hard on my engineering degree – and noticed that the business students were partying all the time and calling it “their right”… the dread realization was that those irresponsible business students would become my bosses some day…
I carried two science majors in college, not so easy. Many students could get by with Tuesday/Thursday afternoon classes, just enough to stay enrolled.

Some, but not all students, I think. Most would say"only one day a week?".

I got a third “degree” burn from attending class at the beach. My cousin just got burned by attending Trump U and no degree.

Doesn’t it depend on the SCHOOL policy?

Kids shouldn’t have to risk a severe, debillitating illness to attend college. Or public school.
