Aw, crap. The ugly thing (Vacuous Nancy and Popeye Sluggo) is back. It actually wasn’t showing yesterday afternoon, and I couldn’t believe my good fortune, but there it is.
It’s low to make fun of someone’s name, but honestly, when I see it, my first visceral impulse is always “Upchuck.”
Is it just me, or are Nancy and Sluggo finally starting to age? I’ve noticed in the past few strips they’ve looked taller (longer legs and arms, as compared to their heads and torsos) and in this one, in particular, their faces look more like pre-teens than little kids. Might be interesting to see it happen.
