Yup. All this good news and all this winning is killing me. Actually it already killed more than 120,000 Americans alone.

What is this “good news” of which you speak?

(I vaguely remember something about the collapse of the Soviet Union and Russia becoming a democracy.)

I have good news, and I have bad news:

There is lots of material for the comics to work with.

Trump is winning the war against the Covid-19 virus. He said it and that settles it. At least for his “base.”

What you have to understand is that when Trump or someone on his staff says a word it has a different meaning than what the rest of us thinks it means.

Trump’s first military action resulted in one American dead, several wounded, 30 civilians, including women and children, killed, one aircraft destroyed, no intelligence information gained and the guy we were after got away and is still laughing at America today. Trump called this a “win.” So we have some idea what Trump means when he says we’d “get tired of winning.”

According to Pence, Trump is doing an “exceptional” job leading us through the pandemic. I haven’t figured out what “exceptional” means in Republican newspeak. 130,000 deaths? 2.5 times the death rate of Europe?
