I hate monochrome stairs— horizontal one color, the vertical another color, and the “upside down” L lip a third reflective color cuts the number of accidents on the stairs by over 90% simply because you automatically position your footsteps to the safer, flatter area instead of clipping a step with your heel or overstepping and sliding forward.
