    So much historical detail is given about the Americans landing at Omaha and Utah beaches, and Pointe du Hoc. You hardly hear anything about British and Canadian forces at Sword, Gold, and Juno.

    Lest we forget. My dad was already back in the US and teaching small-plane pilots at a Texas military base. North Africa had destroyed his health.
