I like the mayor of DC. She had the words “Black Lives Matter” painted across three blocks in the city and renaming the street Trump shut down to “Black Lives Matter Ct.”

Put that in your MAGA and smoke it, Donnie!

The fact that the Donald has barricaded himself in his bunker is an idication of how little of America he actually controls. He has the Republican Senators who decided to keep him in power. They are his friends. Trump is the Republican Party. They choose him as their leader. They declared him their hero. They are directly responsible for what is happening today. They are also totally silent today. Their silence speaks their consent most loudly.

GOP: Love Trump or leave it. Our Republican Senate LOVES Trump.

Sure, let’s trivialize systemic racism in America.

Pay no heed, America. You never have; why start now?

The murder of George Floyd’s character has, predictably, already started. A right-wing provocateur named Candace Owens has smeared him on YouTube. As if that justified his murder. But this is standard operating procedure, isn’t it. Trayvon Martin was killed by a wacko, and suddenly, “He was no angel.”

“In your struggle for justice, let your oppressor know that you are not attempting to defeat or humiliate him, or even to pay him back for injustices that he has heaped upon you. Let him know that you are merely seeking justice for him as well as yourself.” Dr. Martin Luther King.

Jeff, I’ve liked your work both as an artist and social commentator. However, this cartoon appears to show white middle class indifference. Which isn’t indicative of your usual good work.

Has Trump ever read the writing on the wall? Maybe just looked at the pictures. What was I thinking….

Who will lead the country? Trump is not leading. He and his rubber-stamp Senate are cowering in their bunkers. Who will pick up the fallen standard of America and continue?

How about this for a radical idea? We the people establish a government run by the people instead of someone on the throne by virtue of “the Divine Right of Kings?” We can overthrow the Executive Branch and the entire House of Representatives and 1/3 of the Senate. All it takes is showing up on election day.

When I watch Trump, I get discouraged. When I see Barr’s brownshirts in the streets, I get discouraged. When I see rioting and looting, I get discouraged. When I see police knock down a 75-year-old man and walk by uncaring, I get discouraged. When I see tear gas in the streets, I get discouraged.

When I see cops kneeling with protesters, I get encouraged. When I see protestors protecting propterty, I get encouraged. When I see protestors protecting a policeman who got separated from his unit, I get encouraged. When I see a line of women standing between protestors and police, I get encouraged. When I see faces of all colors in the crowd, I get encouraged.

There is more good than evil. We SHALL overcome.
