Not sure if he’s on his golf course or a cemetery. Just’d like to watch him fill a hole-in-one soon and I don’t watch golf.

Uncontrolled Virus Spread in 24 States

The coronavirus may still be spreading at epidemic rates in 24 states, particularly in the South and Midwest, according to new research that highlights the risk of a second wave of infections in places that reopen too quickly or without sufficient precautions.

Researchers at Imperial College London created a model that incorporates cellphone data. The model shows that in the majority of states, a second wave looms if people abandon efforts to mitigate the viral spread.

The Imperial College researchers estimated the virus’s reproduction number, known as R0, or R naught. This is the average number of infections generated by each infected person in a vulnerable population. The researchers found the reproduction number has dropped below 1 in the District and 26 states. In those places, as of May 17, the epidemic was waning.

In 24 states, however, the model shows a reproduction number over 1. Texas tops the list, followed by Arizona, Illinois, Colorado, Ohio, Minnesota, Indiana, Iowa, Alabama, Wisconsin, Mississippi, Tennessee, Florida, Virginia, New Mexico, Missouri, Delaware, South Carolina, Massachusetts, North Carolina, California, Pennsylvania, Louisiana and Maryland.

Years from now when telling young children about the great plague that killed hundreds of thousands, they will naturally ask “What did the president do about it?” The only truthful answer will be “Well, he went on TV a lot, and he went golfing.”

This sums up Tя☭mp better and more succinctly than anything I’ve seen in more than four years of his egomania.

A perfect cartoon. I’ll bet Trump doesn’t even know the meaning of empathy.

Ed’s probably right, above, Trump probably DOESN’T know the meaning of “empathy” – However Mr. Danziger is aptly showing the extent of Trump’s “empathy” in the above cartoon.

Back when president Obama was in office, Republicans like Trump were always criticizing him for playing golf too much. Now a video of his press secretary Kayleigh McEnany doing just that has resurfaced.

In 2017 she criticized Obama for playing golf in the aftermath of the death of Daniel Pearl, an American journalist who was kidnapped and later beheaded by terrorists in Pakistan. But Pearl was killed in 2002, six years before Obama became president. So she seems to be confused.Criticizing Obama, McEnany said:" When we’re in a state of mourning, you should take time off from the golf course."So given McEnany clearly objects to playing golf in a crisis, we’re sure she’ll be one of the first people to condemn Trump for golfing as America reaches 100,000 deaths. Yeah. Right.

I don’t have a problem with him getting out occasionally for a round of golf. But his real dangerous game is when he’s selling the nation down the hole in the Oval Office.

I have this recurring picture in my mind of a footnote in Mother Nature’s scientific lab notebook. It says, “The combination of intelligence and selfishness is clearly not a winning scenario. I should have know it from the beginning. Fortunately, it’s self limiting…”

They turned Robt. E. Lee’s estate into a National Cemetery. Let’s do the same with a golf course. Guess who’s golf course?

Frank, that’s a good start but, it should be every one of his properties becomes a National Cemetery for his victims… That would certainly help the healing process.
