    In Dukes of Hazzard it was the opposite. Boss Hogg was always wearing white and he was rotten to the core. But when his Georgia peach of a twin brother came to town, he’d be the one wearing black.

    When you use cheap hair dye to hide the gray, it tends to seep into the hat.

    I read an interesting article about TV cop shows in the Fifties and early Sixties which said that you could always spot the bad guy because he’d have something wrong with the way he was wearing clothes. A tie that wasn’t tied properly, a hat that didn’t sit properly on the head, etc. Society norms were a lot stricter back then.
