First of all, yes, he did say we should investigate an utterly absurd idea that he made up from his own ignorance.
Second of all, he had PREVIOUSLY referred to hydroxychloroquine as something we should try because “what do you have to lose?” This statement led people to acquire much of it that people who genuinely needed it (for lupus) could not get it. So this isn’t even a NEW kind of statement. And again this statement was based on nothing but ignorance. Additional facts have made it clear that not only does it not ameliorate the symptoms of COVID-19 (not “cure”), but causes more fatalities.
And God forbid he should admit he should never have said this in the first place – and he would fire the only REAL experts on his daily reality show if they dared to point out this extremely obvious fact.
Quite frankly, Donald John Trump has neither the mental capacity for “sarcasm”, nor the ability to identify it if it occurs in others!
He also lacks the capacity for any kind of humor beyond that of your typical grade-school schoolyard bully (which is several levels below “sophomoric”!
Trump proudly carries the “torch” once held aloft by Oliver Cromwell, who once banned “pie” because it was “sinful” – each era defines “STUPID” in a different way.
Here’s a “helpful” tip for the Mommy MAGAt. Force the bleach down the kids gullet, first, then wait 5 minutes before administering the enema – you’ll have a lot less “squirming” around to deal with!

The fact he actually started with alcohol (assume isopropyl) perhaps just thinking of the alcohol swab before getting a shot, etc., then all the “disinfectant” folks like Lysol, Clorox etc came up. To me that proves he wasn’t in any way being sarcastic, and IS an idiot!
Well we definitely need His help now! This reminds me of the Omen movie where damien played by Sam Neill, was able to worm his way into the political world. But eventually, His grace won out.
A thought: Bonespurs keeps referring to the Spanish flu epidemic of 1918! As being ‘17. It’s his way of saying the real worst horror arrived on the US in 2017!! It was his inaugural! Don’t bother to count the crowd, we were all screwed!
