Kinda forced, but yes: What we need is more data… and more information about who is immune now.

Test all you want but you can’t fix stupid. Take your choice – “I need a HAIRCUT!” or “IV isopropyl alcohol.” We’re freakin’ doomed.

Of course, we are barely started testing, and #45 doesn’t WANT us to test, because it makes “his” numbers look bad. And as a consequence we can’t track the progress, we can’t track asymptomatic carriers, we can’t even figure out the accurate fatality percentage…

Have the Feds even tested 1% of the population yet?

Testing is the key to reopening the country, yet the Trump admin has done everything they can to delay it or stop it. Quack Trump is apparently trying to spread the disease around the country.

Trump needs to be removed from office for endangering the USA.

So he is saying that fighting the coronavirus only works if you believe?

Unrealistic cartoon. Even if the swabs would work against a vampire, there are none available.

Coronavirus is a disease, and like most diseases will respond to science, not prayer, not witchcraft, and not holy spirit.

I think that what the artist is getting at is that testing is a great start at defeating the disease . . . I don’t see this as religion.

@52miles : Yes, testing is the necessary start. But it only helps identify the infected. The equivalent for vampires would be to show people standing in front of mirrors. It’s the ones you don’t see that will get you.

A virus is not “scared off” as with the artist’s example. You have to destroy it. For the vampire that means a stake through the heart or sunshine.

And amusingly, what part of sunshine would be responsible? Well, moonlight (present in all good vampire movies) is simply reflected sunlight — with some absorption lines here and there. The most notably missing portion of the spectrum would be the UV part. So it is UV that kills vampires.
