Methinks Mark is teasing a Mrs. Angelini story here. Before the one with the dog, I think it had been a while since we’d seen one of those, and I rather enjoy them.
I’m still old-fashioned when it comes to pictures. We get some printed out and put them in albums. I found over the years, after the instant cameras became the thing, that the kids took so many pictures and yet there was not one that was properly framed or posed.
After a while, I realized that we should go back to the old way when we had a family occasion. I make sure we take a proper picture so that it can be put in an album.
When the grandchildren come over they want to look through the albums and ask about the stories, but they don’t care about looking over the slide shows of the same occasion where there a lot of picks on the computer…
Now would be a great time for people to digitalize their family pictures. I was able to get my mom, my dad’s sister, and another aunt to go through all the family pictures, some dating to just after the Civil War, and they were able to identify everyone. I digitalized the pictures and one version had a number on each person with a key below that identifies them. I gave the siblings and their adult kids CDs with all the digital pics and genealogy stuff to do with as they will. During the Great Digitalization, I discovered that many of the family pics from the Sixties were fading away because of the film used. I was able to use image restoration software to bring the colors back so the digital versions look great.

That depends. I don’t use Instagram. Should there be a bunch of thumbs up and down, hearts, and offensive comments on each of the photos?
