Har de har. If you watch HGTV you’ll get why this is a reversal.

    but

If you’re sharing a kitchen a bathroom, and very likely a bed… your odds of sharing a virus are pretty high. Regardless of an open floor plan.

Maybe TLC will produce another inane series like “COVID-19, how I got sick and dying from the unseen”.

In ancient times, even monks living in their cells were not immune to passing viruses. No way this one is going to die just from lack of exposure. Welcome to the new world

My main plan of attack: stay out of the virus’ way. I will disobey the orders of the president. I will not become a recluse, but I’m not going out unless there is a very good reason for the trip. I am fortunate: I can work from home. I am even more fortunate: I don’t need to work at all.

If I do go out, I will maintain social distancing and make sure I wash my hands at least when I get home. My wife was out last night and she undressed in the garage when she returned and put the clothes directly into the washing machine. I insisted that she go straight to the shower.

Last line of defense is my immune system. My age (70) is against me there, but I have kept myself in shape and exercise regularly, including a 4-mile brisk walk every morning. I do not have compromising conditions such as diabetes or COPD. I am NOT depending on my body to keep me safe; I have to use my brain.

To keep my brain from getting infected, I will not watch FOX News.

My particular architectural preference for residential is a modified open floor plan. It provides a mixture of openness with clearly defined transition from space to space and some segregation of common areas. These HGTV homes that are basically one big room with little other than furniture and decor differentiating spaces is simply crap <—- highly technical architectural terminology, there. :P

Where is Bob Vila when you need him. I watch those shows and get it. No more grey paint. All antiseptic white coming soon.
