We’ve been out to eat twice since the lockdown. In neither case would we even begin to consider fast food. Though I did eat a Big Mac a few years ago… and we do get a more regional burger maybe twice per year.
In all states with lockdowns, the employees have to have their temperatures taken when they report for work. Then they have to do a long scrub of hands and forearms and takeout only orders means no interaction with customers, or hardly any. I’d worry about the delivery people and Door Dash or whatever you use.
The COVID-19 New American dream… “Serfs die, billionaires cry (for bailouts/tax cuts)”. Oh, wait a virus riddled moment… That’s how it was before, just slower.
I don’t care about the precautions after the first time I handed my card to the drive-thru cashier and he immediately coughed into the hand holding the card. It will be good for me, I bet I drop a lot during this time with no fast food. I know it is on me, but this might be the kick in the butt I’ve been needing. Though I would give it all up if it stopped this horrid virus.
OMFG, Seriously, let’s be clear here, this is what the Republican party have come to: ‘let’s genocide the elderly’ to save the wealthy? Is this the government of the United States or North Korea? If this was any previous Administration would we not be outraged, immediately send troops & remove this (I don’t’ have the words to describe this POS).
Tell you what, #YOUFIRST! To every trump supporter that is old enough to be a grandparent (& lets face it in states that are trump’s base that age could be what 32?), the diehard #MAGA supporters, & willing to show us Liberals just what you are made of, your resolve, your diehard support & willing to die for your beloved orange messiah, I think you should all show us the way!
But you should all do it fast, show us up. You should all gather in your local town square, save yourself a lot of suffering, make a huge batch of Kool-Aid with cyanide & drink it. THAT WILL SHOW US!! We will properly bury you ALL as martyrs, we will properly mourn you all as martyrs, God Damn IT we will even do a 45 gun salute!! But you got to show us the way!! YOU FIRST! “Long hand washing” (20-30 seconds) doesn’t take more soap than “quick hand washing.” You just scrub your hands for longer, and more thoroughly, before rinsing them.
This fits well with the all fear all the time philosophy but doesn’t lend itself to being bludgeoned into submission. Sublety isn’t a strong suit of Federal policy. Oh, well I never went anyplace before this.
