People are always trying to figure ways to get their family, pets and friends into their work. It is fun for all. Generally no paycheck for the attendees but definitely something to brag about.
As much as I like Doonebury, I look at recycled cartoons and think of the younger cartoonists who have been laid off at their dying newspapers and wish the younger folks were getting their chance.
And then I see Wallace the Brave and I’m happy with Doonesbury again.

Barry Svigals was a Yale classmate and is a lifelong friend of Garry Trudeau.
