Kind of like me with my hearing aids. I often just turn the bloody things off.

I don’t blame you. With all the ugliness in the world today I sometimes wish I could bury my head in the sand.

Here we see an artifact of the longevity of the BC strip. When it first started clear back in the 1950’s, it was generally accepted that dinosaurs drug their tails on the ground, so that’s the way Johnny Hart drew them. But since then we now know that they didn’t. However, to be consistent, BC’s dinosaurs still drag their tails.

If he was looking at the World today he would see that over the past several decades poverty, hunger, and disease have been greatly reduced and incomes have greatly increased. Life is improving for millions and millions of humans.

You guys all sound like my Dad. He would turn his down to the point where he heard nothing. I love my hearing aids. They changed my life. So thrilled I got them and can hear everything again.

There are some earplugs for shooters/hunters that both can be set to increase the level of normal speaking range tones but which block “too loud” or dangerously loud sounds, cutting off in microseconds and back on when the sound is gone at that speed, too.

    .

The fact you can adjust them to the level you need is most useful, but they are not “invisible” items.

Same number of bones in that neck as me and giraffes? Must have agreement by all scientists first to believe.

Sometimes lying low is the best option.
