That used to be called a “Subway Series” when the Dodgers lived in Brooklyn. Now it would have to be called an airplane series.
And when the Yankees played the Giants in the World Series, it was a “walk across the bridge” series. (They were literally across the Harlem River from each other. You could even read the time on the clock on Yankee Stadium from behind the plate at the Polo Grounds.)
Sorry, guys, after their wonderfully intelligent trades, the Red Sox are now in a position to sweep the American League and win the 2020 World Series against the Chicago Cubs…
