I still have my working land line and I never plan on getting rid of it.

We’re keeping our landline until they won’t let us/support it (AT&T). We use our cell——flip phone——when we are away from the house. Yes, we are dinosaurs. (We still use VHS tape, too.)

Took three tries to read it as landlines rather than landmines. Well done!

They’re gonna have to take me dead before they take away my land lines! I hate cells…so inconvenient, can’t do anything while talking….with a land line I can cook, and do stuff and talk at the same time…..LOL It slays me ….that everything of yesteryear was better than today!

Like Legos, in the dead of night, you will find them all, eventually.

In some areas, landlines are hard to get or prohibitively expensive. They are particularly useful in a power outage.

Look in the cabinet next to them for attached dial up computer modems and fax machines.

Which one is the party line?

My wife’s grandmother was once given a cordless phone. She later explained that she used that phone all the time instead of the corded one in the other room. She figured that, since it wasn’t connected, it wasn’t costing her anything!

I have a cheap VOIP “landline” for everyone except friends and family. It is my garbage call collector.

I always loved that old game, “Linesweeper”.
