Keep Katy away from the tv. Tell her she can’t watch anything until she gives up this stupidity.

    It’s a better dialogue than today’s movies.

What I don’t like is her standing outside of and commenting on the world as if it was under her microscope. Bigly rude, IMO.

Not at all, she’s describing the scene, the same way all the old Gumshoes used to in books and movies. Creating an unusual word-picture with incredibly inventive descriptions was part of the lure of reading detective books…And it transferred so ably to the screen…

I think it’s adorable. It is good to go through that stage when you are to young to let it get you into trouble using your parents car to tail a Senior to a kegger and get caught, pantsed and thrown in the lake. or anything.

Calvin from “Calvin and Hobbes” is going through a similar phase.

More like a ‘40s gumshoe. In the ‘20s the movies were still silent.

Funny thing is that’s the way they talked back in the twenties. I remember it like it was yesterday. I was doing some demo work in a old building on the Southside, Chicago that is. I stumbled across a old news paper. The writing was incredibly descriptive. It had to be no tv, or evening news. One of the stories was a description of a Cubs Yankees game. It was like I was at Wrigley watching it live. I could almost smell the peanuts and cracker jack..AH those were the days.

Is she annoying, probably. But, on the positive side, she’s using her imagination, rather than keeping her face buried in an electronic device, and letting it think for her.

I just LOVE this adorable Katy-centric story! It’s Clayton and/or Adam centric 99% of the time.:D
