Imagine how much gas could be saved if lights were just a tad intelligent. We all have waited (with 20~40 others) at a pedestrian crosswalk light.. that, incidentally was not needed because the guy took advantage of a break in the traffic and jay-walked. The technology is there.. Environmentalists unite.. it is the one place where your demonstrations would do some good.

It looks a little large for a Pinto (actually saw one the other day-dang they were small) and perhaps a bit small for a Mustang. If it weren’t for the convertible top it could be a Dodge/Plymouth Colt.

A vehicle modeled or influenced by humans. Though it doesn’t use petroleum to power it. Houyhnhnms are a most logical species.

I spent some really, really late nights working on my thesis. One night I was headed home at about 3am and I pulled up to a red light. I saw the light perpendicular to me was green, then yellow … then green again. At first I thought I must have nodded off when I had the green light, so I watched carefully, and I had been right the first time: my light was ALWAYS going to be red, and the light perpendicular to me was NEVER going to be red. I made a right on red and came home a different way, but this was the kind of stupidity that creates contempt for the law.

Burning up the horsepower just sitting there.
