When you don’t want to bother with jumping in the shower, a quick cool off trick is rub just a bit of cool water over the top of your earlobe.

Old cars always had the thermostat go out sooner than new cars. Replaced many of them and most had been replaced previously as there was no gasket. I wish it was that easy with the wife.

Way cool.

When I worked in general aviation I once had to replace a speaker in an unventilated airplane that was facing the Phoenix summer sun. I would go in, remove a screw, and immediately exit, soaking wet and shivering in the 117 degree heat. Same thing – wait until you have settled in before changing the temperature.

And here is reason #182 why it’s great to be a guy!

I did this as a teacher with the classroom’s thermostat. They never caught on.

When you enter a heated house after being out in the cold for awhile it feels oppressively warm. In a minute your body will adjust and feel normal. Thus Arlo has to wait it out.
