Even if the Senate refuses to do its Constitutional duty and remove his a$$, he will be stuck on that horse for all history.

The House Democrats could have passed a dozen or more articles of impeachment, all legitimate. The Senate Republicans would vote to acquit, in near unanimity, all of them. The two passed in the House are sufficiently obviously valid to brand Trump in history, and possibly even to jar a few voters out of their inexplicable loyalty to him. The house Democrats carried their constitutional responsibility. The Senate Republicans will have to live with their violation of oath.

My wife banned silly string from our house because the kids couldn’t be trusted to use it responsibly. Actually, it was the kids and me. Well, I guess it was mostly me, but whatevah :P

    Merry Christmas, Mike.

Bear in mind: He is already impeached. Not convicted, yet (if ever) but he’s been impeached. If you understand the constitution as I do, that means he cannot be pardoned for the two crimes of which he stands accused by the House. My bold added below.

Article 2 – The Executive BranchSection 2 – Civilian Power Over Military, Cabinet, Pardon Power, Appointments

The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States; he may require the Opinion, in writing, of the principal Officer in each of the executive Departments, upon any subject relating to the Duties of their respective Offices, and he shall have Power to Grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offenses against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.

Silly string is definitely inappropriate for hanging Trump. Scary string is more like it.

Obviously Lester is waging war on Christmas because he can not give up his partisan leanings even for the one day most holy to Christians world wide. Sad.

Once again, Lester shows us that few impeachment exercises work as well as the guillotine.

    Happy Kwanzaa, Mike!
