Seems like Bob is using blinders when making this cartoon. Democrats have been talking about health care, immigration, green jobs, and lots of other things. Republicans have been slavishly talking non-stop about impeachment.
Flip that. Democrats have passed more than a hundred bills in the House while providing constitutionally mandated oversight of the executive. Republicans in the Senate, on the other hand, have done NOTHING but rant about how the system they themselves established is so unfair.
We can’t let any President get away with abuse of power. We are a nation of laws where no man is above the law. That’s why our forefathers rejected the idea of having a king.
The most important civic duty Congress has right now is to preserve our Constitution and the rule of law. When a psychopathic malignant narcissist cult leader is running amok breaking laws, lying incessantly, bullying military heroes, and actively supporting Russia’s national interests the ONLY thing to do right now is impeach him.
If the Senate doesn’t remove him from office, then the next thing to do is vote overwhelmingly to replace him and every republican who supports him. That won’t happen, but it’s the best hope for American aspirational ethics and morality.
It’s so hard for me to understand how some people can’t see just how impeachable Trump is. The same Repubs had no trouble impeaching Bill Clinton on lying about his sex life, something Trump has done on many occasions. But Trump adds aiding our enemies, violation of the emoluments clause, using foreign powers to bring down an opponent, and many, many other things and the Repubs just look the other way. Now, I understand that the big difference here is that Trump is their man in the WH and Trump’s supporters can affect the primary aims of several Repub congressmen, most notably Phil Graham of SC. And even with the political side of the equation, it’s still so amazing that Repubs can’t see how the Dem House has no choice but to impeach Trump.
Should Trump not be impeached and censured by the House, then maybe Trump is right. Maybe he really could shoot someone on 5th Avenue and still get votes from his deplorables.
For being as innocent as new fallen snow, the Republicans are sure spending a lot of time and money spreadng soot over themselves. Boy what a country. Under the auspices of the governments of which the Weasel is so fond, a squad of solders would already have marched the Republican McMafia and the Weasel into the annuls of history.
As long as Mitch is destroying America, impeachment is a distraction from the horrible Sh*t that is happening in America. Let us join together and get this unqualified moron out of office. Bernie/Tulsi 2020.
Nope. Democrats have passed nearly 400 bills through the House while all this’s been going on. And where are the bills now? Moscow’s Mitch has let them lie dead on the table in the Senate. Dems don’t have blinders on. As RAGs suggests, above, it’s the Republicans who’ve blindfolded themselves; tightly, too.
Hey Gorrell. You want to talk about blinders? Have you noticed that all of the evidence against Trump has been sworn to under oath, but nothing said in his defense has been? And this includes the witnesses that the Republicans asked for. If Mulvaney, Pompeo, or any of Trump’s people had anything to say that would actually help him, they would be begging to testify instead of illegally defying the Congressional subpoenas.
This is one way to show that the Dems are focused and no matter what is going on in the way of distractions, rallies, tweets, did I mention distractions, we will ignore what has become the daily idiotic goings on. FOCUSED!
It’s called projection: Find something bad about yourself (such as, perhaps, being unable to see the truth right in front of you) and blame the opposition for having that fault. Seems to be one of the most common of right wing techniques.

Yes, Mr. Gorrell, we the people are focused on excising that orange, pus-filled miscreant from the WH. It’s long overdue.

Gee, Bob, I know you’re totally stumped as to why anyone would want to defend the Constitution like the Democrats are doing.
Just trust me when I tell you that it would make perfect sense if you were on America’s side instead of on Putin’s side.

So what was your take on impeaching Clinton for sexual harassment? 45 has broken the LAW and has committed treason. That shouldn’t be addressed?

Change the Placard to “Defend the Constitution” and I agree.

Those blinders are mislabeled, Bob. They should say “Oath to the Constitution”.

Hilarious to see the hypocrisy Gorrell maintains. Years of crimes by Trump and this idiot’s takeaway is that Democrats are deluded.
