    @Number Three Today’s strip IS funny our Hero Mr Andrew Capp , sober again ,got it right about Al’s pies , not only are they unnedible , they are also deadly missiles the way they knocked the ref unconscious :o) my avatar is about a man just standing on a walking machine , like the one we have in our bedroom , after using it for some time when we bought it , it is now mainly used as a clothes horse :o) how was your day? our Finally Friday should be very busy as usual also it’s Republic day in Malta , but we’ll cope we hope , have fun pal even tho it’s Friday the 13th pal

    How come no one ever gets “knocked out HOT”??

    This is why ALL pies should be American style sweet pies – even a Hostess-knockoff could never do that, no matter how old and stale it is!

    I think you can see the “weapon” on the ground near the ref’s head in panel 2.

    Al reserves the right to throw one, depending on how his team is doing.

    After this incident Al’s pies were banned from the field.

    Is Al a descendant of CMOT Dibbler?

    What’s the definition of a really dumb football hooligan?

    One who throws a full can of beer at the referee … misses … and hits the star player on his own team!

    Some foods are to die for – others to die from.

    Interesting variation on the old “pie in the face” gag. (Which, sadly, doesn’t get used that much anymore. Sometimes I worry that slapstick is a dying art form.)

    I remember when Flo made a cake and Andy used it as a door stop for the pub door.

    @Afficionado

    You would never see me using exercise equipment. A long walk or maybe a light jog can do just as good. It costs nothing either!

    It’s my birthday on Monday so I’m treating myself to bingo where hopefully I will win more than £3.36! But don’t know what to do after that. I don’t really celebrate my birthday anyway. So it’s all good.

    Hope a wonderful weekend is ahead, pal.

    “ The food in this ground is still a disgrace” What the heck does “ ground” mean? Building?
